Using the information that I have garnered throughout my adventure in Teyvat, I have been able to find 6 separate ways that you get artifacts from. These are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Chests<\/li>
- Artifact Domains<\/li>
- Bosses<\/li>
- Elite Enemies<\/li>
- World Drops<\/li>
- Shops<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
All of these ways are available as soon as you hit AR 35 although most of them are available well before that. I’ll go through each of their requirements and what you can get from them so you have an accurate representation of what to spend time and effort on.<\/p>\n\n\n
Chests<\/h3>\n\n\n
Chests are scattered throughout all of Teyvat and have a lot of goodies inside that you can use in order to speed up your progress in the game. They contain Mora<\/a>, weapons, weapons enhancement ores<\/a>, sigils, and artifacts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second is the Treasure Compass gadget which will let you know if there are any chests nearby. This is an excellent gadget to get early on as it will lead you straight to chests. The diagram for this gadget can be received as a reputation reward from both Mondstadt<\/a> and Liyue.<\/p>\n\n\n
Domains<\/h3>\n\n\n
Domains are going to be your most dependable source of high-level artifacts as you head into the late game. In this part, I would like to add that both Trounce domains and Artifact domains are great for getting artifacts but they will cost you resin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, Trounce domains (Stormterror<\/a> and Childe) can only be completed once a week so make sure to take advantage of them every time they are refreshed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThere are 2 domains that can be accessed at AR 22 but to unlock all of them you\u2019ll need to be AR 35. that shouldn\u2019t be a problem if you complete all of the quests in the game and do your daily commissions regularly as it is only at AR 35 that progression starts slowing down. Domains can also be taken on cooperatively so you might want to keep that in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n
Bosses<\/h3>\n\n\n
Teyvat is home to boss enemies which are tougher than regular ones and require you to spend 40 resin in order to get the rewards. These bosses drop character<\/a> ascension materials but they also drop a number of artifacts that are at a high level. Once you hit world level 6 they will start dropping at least one 5-star artifact pretty dependably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\nElite Enemies<\/h3>\n\n\n
Elite enemies in the game also have a chance of dropping artifacts. Enemies such as Abyss Mages, Ruin Guards, and Mitachurls can drop artifacts but those are few and far between and the chance to get artifacts from them is really low. It is best to do farm runs<\/a> of these with other players because otherwise, it can get really stale and monotonous. All of the creatures that have a chance to drop artifacts are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- All Abyss Mages<\/a><\/li>
- All Mitachurls<\/li>
- Ruin Guards and Ruin Hunters<\/li>
- Gevishap Hatchlings<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n
Shops<\/h3>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThere are artifact shops in the game as well although there are only 3 of them. One can be found in Mondstadt and two of them can be found in Liyue (pictured on the map below). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They have 5 artifacts for sale per reset which amounts to 15 in total and these artifacts have a rarity of 2-star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nIf you’re a new player and don’t see the need to buy these artifacts then I heavily advise you to do so anyway because sooner or later you are going to run out of artifacts and will have to start farming for them yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n
World Drops<\/h3>\n\n\n
Artifacts can also be found while just exploring the map. You\u2019ll come across items that you can investigate (pictured below) and they will drop artifacts for you although those artifacts are going to be 2-star at best. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are a couple of routes that you can take in order to get as many of these artifacts as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe first route can be found in Liyue, at Qingce Village which can net you 6 artifacts in a minute. This route can be seen on the map below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThese are not the only routes of course as there are tons of places that drop artifacts in Liyue so keep an eye open for them because they will come in handy.<\/p>\n\n\n
Final Note<\/h2>\n\n\n
Artifacts are going to be the hardest things that you want to get in the game purely because of the sheer number of them that you require. The best thing to do is to complete a Domain of Blessing every day just to keep your artifact count high for when you eventually need them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
You should also try to use all the resin that you can every day because most of the activities that you do with resin give you artifacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
