7 Tips to Farm Credits in Warframe (+ video)

There are many different ways to get credits fast in Warframe so in this guide, we’re going to be covering a few different gameplay mechanics and how to effectively manage time and make sure that you make the most credits in the shortest amount of time.

So without further ado, let’s get into it

Daily Rewards

Warframe gives you incentives to log in every day. The two major credit-related rewards that you can get for logging in daily are first, the daily login reward, and secondly, the rewards that you get for doing your first mission of the day.

The daily login reward in Warframe is called the Daily Tribute. According to the lore of the game, the daily tribute is given to Tenno by various factions that you’ve helped and who you’re useful to.

There are two daily tribute rewards that you’re looking for when you’re farming for credits. One is the straight-up credit cache that gives you credits directly. There aren’t many but they can definitely help.

The other reward that you can get from the daily tribute is the Credit Booster. The Credit Booster doubles the credit rewards that you get from doing activities so it can be a great boon to credit farming.

The second daily reward that you should utilize is the bonus that you get from doing your first mission of the day. The way Warframe works, you’ll get double the credits from the first mission of the day that you do.

Keeping that in mind you can plan out to do the most rewarding activity first so that you have a bunch of credits to start the day off right. As for which activity you should do at the start of the day read on as we’ll cover the credit farming activities further ahead in the article.

Dark Sectors - Warframe

Dark Sectors

Dark sectors are certain nodes on planets that are endless missions with better resource drop rates, increased credit rewards, and elevated affinity gained for kills.

Dark sectors are going to be your main means of farming credits and resources quickly because they do not take long to complete, you can complete them as many times as you want, and are usually populated by other players doing the same thing that you are.

That makes farming them a breeze and actually fun.

If you are a beginner then the node that you want to hit up for credits is Tikal on Earth. The mission on this node is an excavation one and you can get out as soon as you are done with the first excavation.

This mission will award you with 12,000 credits each time you complete it and it can be done within 5 minutes so it is a quick way to get credits early on. An alternative to this mission is the survival mission that can be located in Gabii on Mars.

As you advance in the game this mission is not going to be able to cut it in the credit department. If you want to keep farming at a prodigious rate then you’re going to need to head to Seimeni on Ceres.

That mission puts you against waves of enemies and you should extract after the first five waves. The payout for this mission is a minimum of 20,000 credits if you don’t pick up any drops or loot any chests.

This mission is still very popular and you’ll always find people to run it with, making the whole experience go by faster than you think.

Cleaning Out Your Inventory - Warframe

Cleaning Out Your Inventory

Through the course of your Warframe adventure, you’re going to make a lot of weapons and warframes to increase your mastery level. You’re also going to fill up your inventory with blueprints for all sorts of things.

Once you realize that you have duplicates of the blueprints you can sell them directly from your inventory for credits. You don’t get a lot of credits from doing this but it is good to do this if you haven’t cleared out your inventory in a while. It costs nothing and you don’t need to expend any effort in doing this.

If you’re having trouble where to find all of the stuff you can sell just go to the inventory tab when you pause the game. There you can access your whole inventory and if you go to the miscellaneous tab in your inventory you can see all of the blueprints that you have.

There you can decide what to keep and what to get rid of. If you haven’t done this in a while you’re looking at an easy 25k credits, maybe more depending on how much you’ve played the game.  This is one of the best ways for fast credit farming!

The Index - Warframe

The Index

The Index is an activity that you unlock midway through the game. It is unlocked by just reaching it on the planetary map. The Index can be found on Neptune and is a game of sorts where you wager credits and if you win the game you’ll get a lot more than what you wagered.

The Index is one of the most popular activities even among late-game players because it can net you a lot of credits in a very short amount of time, given that you win the game you wager on.

The way the Index works is that there are 3 difficulty levels that you can choose from. The Low-Risk Investment will get you a 75 thousand credits profit, the Medium Risk Investment will get you 135 thousand profit and the High-Risk Investment will get you a 200 thousand profit.

For the easiest difficulty you’ll need to wager 30 thousand credits, for the next one up you’ll need 40 thousand credits, and for the highest difficulty one, you’ll need 50 thousand credits to even start the game.

There are a few key gameplay changes that the Index makes when compared to the normal game. The first thing that you need to know about the Index is that it works like a game of Kill Confirmed. Defeated enemies will drop tokens, so will your NPC teammates.

The objective of the game is to collect tokens and deposit them in your bank. You also have to make sure that the enemy doesn’t score. The win condition of the game is to get to a specified score within the time limit.

There are a few things to keep in mind when challenging the Index. The first is that you won’t be able to bring a companion with you so you’re completely on your own.

The enemies that you defeat will not drop any ammo, energy, or health. To get those you’re going to have to go to their spawn points on the map and get all of that from there.

There is also one interesting thing that the Index does. When you pick up the Index points that enemies drop your health will be reduced so the more you pick up the more likely you’ll be to be defeated.

The reason the game does this is that the more Index points you deposit at the same time, the more they are worth.

Credit Boosters

Like other free-to-play games, Warframe has a few in-game transactions that can help you progress faster. Unlike other games, however, the game allows you to trade the purchasable currency between players.

There are a few items that you can sell to other players for Platinum and use to get useful stuff like warframe slots, weapon slots, and even boosters. The credit boosters in Warframe are really worth it because they can double the credits that you get from activities.

Boosters activate immediately after purchasing them so be careful when getting them. There are multiple varieties to choose from. You can get a 3-day one, a 7-day one, and a 30-day one.

You should choose when to get them carefully because it won’t pause and to maximize their effectiveness you should use them when you have a lot of downtime to play.

There is one thing to note about credit boosters, if you get a new one while one is active then the time of the new one is added to the old one and your total time is extended.

As for getting enough platinum to get these boosters, there are two main ways to do that. You can straight up buy them for real money in the in-game store.

It is actually priced pretty fairly but the free-to-play players aren’t completely left in the dust. Your main way of getting platinum is going to be through selling items that are traded for platinum to other players.

These include Ayatan sculptures, relic rewards, and rare open-world drops. Another fast credit farming strategy!

Mods in Warframe

Mods

Warframe is a game that focuses heavily on mods. Every warframe, weapon, companion, and pet can be outfitted with mods. When playing the game you’re going to get a LOT of mods.

Every activity that you do will get you a couple of mods, enemies will drop mods, and you’ll even get mods from buying them from factions.

This means that you’re going to get a lot of mods throughout your Warframe experience. A lot of the mods are going to be duplicates that you don’t need.

You can sell the mods that you don’t need for a bunch of credits. To sell the mods all you have to do is Fast Credit Farming go to the mods section of your ship and select the mods that you want to sell.

You can get a lot of credits this way because you’re going to end up with a lot of spare mods throughout the course of the game.

Profit Taker

The Profit Taker is one of the more advanced ways to get credits. To even be able to access the Profit Taker boss fight you’re going to need the max standing with the Vox Solaris which is the friendly faction that is present on Fortuna.

You can level up the faction in various ways but if you’re planning to take on the Profit Taker then you’re already so ahead in the game that you don’t need the guide at all.

It is important to note though that although beginners cannot access the fight, they can still complete favors for the friendly factions present near the open-world areas in the game. These favors will net you a bunch of credits but doing them does take time.

If you’re interested in farming the Profit Taker for credits then I highly recommend using a Chroma Warframe because it allows you to get a lot more credits for the fight. You can easily double the credits that you get from the fight by using Chroma.

Conclusion

As you can see there are multiple ways to get credits and the most important thing to remember is that you will get credits by just playing the game.

If you play the game regularly, use these tips to farm credits, and find like-minded people that you can play the game with, you’ll have no problem getting a lot of credits really quickly.
