Best Clash Royale Decks (25 Decks Total)

best clash royale decks

Clash Royale is a mobile game that needs no introduction but for those that are uninitiated it is a tower attack PVP game that allows you to put creatures on the fields in order to destroy your opponents’ towers, with the ultimate goal being to destroy the other players’ “King’s Tower”. It is only the best Clash Royale Decks that will reign victory!

The ability to fully customize your deck of different cards allows the user to play to his/her playstyle while dominating on the field.

This means that it can be hard to decide which characters are a good fit for which arena.

Lucky for you, we’ve prepared a guide for the best Clash Royale decks that you can make with each of the cards that you get while playing the game.

Arena 1 - Goblin Stadium

Arena 1 Decks

There are a couple of cool decks that you can make with the cards that you unlock after reaching Arena 1.

One thing to note is that some of these cards can only be unlocked after entering the Goblin Stadium.

Arena 1 – Mini P.E.K.K.A and Prince Deck

This deck is comprised of:

The thinking behind this deck is that you make the PEKKA and the Prince as the main DPS characters. That means that every other card that you play will focus on getting those two characters to the main tower. This is one of the best Clash Royale decks to begin with.

So you need to keep their focus on moving towards the tower and making sure that they do not get distracted by other troops. To make sure that that happens you need a constant barrier between your main two and the rest of the smaller enemies.

To do this all you need to do is to deploy smaller minions such as the Musketeer and the Skeleton Army close to the big ones so that they can take the heat for them.

The ranged troops are going to be useful for air support and the Baby Dragon is useful for splash damage to take care of smaller minions in groups. One thing to make sure of is to keep an eye on your elixir because you’re going to need it to play the stronger cards.

For that, you should react to what the opponent plays rather than going all out otherwise you’re going to run out of elixir pretty fast.

Arena 1 – Ranged Build

Alternatively, you could forgo the whole DPS build in favor of a ranged build so that you don’t have to put any of your minions in much danger. The cards needed for this deck are:

  • Knight
  • Spear Goblins
  • Archers
  • Arrows
  • Bomber
  • Witch
  • Musketeer
  • Baby Dragon

This build focuses more on the range but it still has some melee cards. You want to focus on getting the Witch out first so that she can start summoning minions. Other than that deploy the ranged cards early so that they can start dealing damage.

When you feel like you’ve stemmed the flow of the opponent’s minions you want to make sure the knight leads the charge surrounded by lesser minions such as the Musketeer.

The ranged support should focus on keeping the Knight alive and making sure he does his job.

Arena 2 - Bone Pit

Arena 2 Decks

Arena 2 – Rush Deck

This Arena 2 deck focuses on overwhelming the opponent with so many troops that they are unable to react fast enough to the troops you deploy.

Handle this deck carefully though because although it is fun it can be easy to get this one wrong because above all else this one relies on your opponent being unprepared.

If they know a rush deck is in play they can counter it with ease. This deck includes:

  • Skeleton Army
  • Minions
  • Archers
  • Knight
  • Valkyrie
  • Spear Goblins
  • Arrows
  • Musketeer

With this deck, you want to focus on rushing the opponent with as many small troops as you can. You’ll need to use the Valkyrie and Knight as your tanks to absorb most of the damage from splash attacks and use your ranged attacks to take out splashers such as Dragons.

Just make sure to keep up your flow of troops because if your opponent gets a chance to breathe then your rush may lose steam and end up costing you the battle.

One more thing to note about this deck is that it can be used with other arena cards as well so keep this one in your repertoire because it can come in handy when you least expect it.

Arena 2 – Defensive Deck

This deck relies on a defensive play-style where you let the enemy make their move and counter it the best you can. This deck involves the use of the following cards:

  • Fireball
  • Arrows
  • Tombstone
  • Witch
  • Skeleton Army
  • Archers
  • Spear Goblins
  • Musketeer

What you’re going to want to start with, in this deck, is deploy ranged units and Witch/Skeleton Army first. Then allow the opponent to deploy their troops and then deal with it accordingly. When you right, this deck is one of the best Clash Royale decks in the game.

Your Witch will summon units making sure that the opponent’s units are delayed enough so that they can deal damage.

Tombstone is an excellent card for when you feel you’re about to be overwhelmed because it can stop enemy creatures from reaching your towers. When using this deck you’re trying to wear out the opponent’s elixir and then striking when they are weak.

Don’t be afraid to burn your Fireball or Arrows if creatures are getting too close for comfort. With this deck, you need to focus on surviving and making sure that you outlast the opponent making it one of the best Clash Royale decks to this day.

Arena 2 – Witch/Giant Combo

One of the most effective deck builds for this level as it is hard to fight against if you don’t play your cards right. This deck requires the following cards:

  • Giant
  • Witch
  • Bomber
  • Minions
  • Spear Goblins
  • Musketeer
  • Arrows
  • Tombstone

With this deck, you want to deploy both your Giant and your Witch late into the game, when you have a clear line to the enemy tower.

This way nothing can stop you and makes the opponent panic. If they deploy weaker creatures to stop your Giant then use a Bomber or Arrows to deal with them but make sure that once the Giant is deployed it gets to the tower otherwise the deck loses its effectiveness.

You need to catch your opponent off-guard and not give them enough time to deal with what you deploy.

Arena 3 - Barbarian Bowl

Arena 3 Decks

Arena 3 – The X-Bow Tactic

The X-bow is one of the strongest cards that you can get once you reach arena 3. This Arena 3 deck revolves around that card and everything else ensures that once you play the X-bow it stays on the field. The cards required for this are:

  • X-Bow
  • Rocket
  • Goblin Barrel
  • Tombstone
  • Baby Dragon
  • Valkyrie
  • Minions
  • Arrows

The main hero of this deck is the X-bow therefore whatever happens, once you deploy it, keep it on the field. It can completely decimate the enemy’s towers if it stays alive so most of the troops that you deploy will be to make sure that the X-bow isn’t destroyed.

In this deck, your Rocket is your hail mary. If you feel like your X-bow is about to be destroyed and no amount of creatures can help you then don’t hesitate to use the Rocket.

It costs a lot of elixirs but it can be so worth it if played at the right place at the right time. You can either use it to deal with enemy creatures or you can use it to fully destroy damaged towers.

Arena 4 - P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse

Arena 4 Decks

Arena 4 – Ultimate Push Deck

This Arena 4 deck focuses on a slow but effective push that may take long but gets the job done. The cards that you’ll need for this deck are:

  • Giant
  • Tesla
  • Barbarians
  • Witch
  • Archers
  • Spear Goblins
  • Fireball
  • Arrows

This deck allows you to do an ultimate push that keeps ongoing so that you can overpower the towers and secure victory for yourself.

What you’ll want to do is deploy your Giant and Barbarians for a strong push while you keep your witch back a little bit to supplement the push.

You’ll also want to deploy Archers and Spear Goblins to weaken the troops that the opponent deploys so that your pushers can deal with them. Keep your Fireball and Arrows as trump cards because they can get you out of tough spots.

Also, don’t forget to deploy Tesla near the bridge so that if the opponent tries a push on you it can be shut down. Focus on the push and use spells to guard your own towers.

Your objective is to make the opponent throw everything they have at your advancing troops rather than going for your towers.

Arena 5 - Spell Valley

Arena 5 Decks

Arena 5 – The P.E.K.K.A Power Play

In this Arena 5 deck, you’ll want to focus on PEKKA and building your deck around that card. For this deck you’ll need the following cards:

  • P.E.K.K.A
  • Baby Dragon
  • Minion Horde
  • Minions
  • Tombstone
  • Zap
  • Freeze
  • Arrows

This deck focuses on PEKKA and how you can maximize its efficiency. That is why there are so many spells in this deck. What you’re going to want to do is deploy PEKKA and make sure enemies don’t bother it too much.

That is where the spells come in, just make sure that you keep PEKKA alive. You should also deploy the other troops to make sure that the weaker enemies can be taken care of.

Also, if PEKKA is getting surrounded don’t be afraid to freeze them so that they can be taken care of without PEKKA getting damaged.

Arena 6 - Builder's Workshop

Arena 6 Decks

Arena 6 – Golem Deck

One of the new additions after Arena 6 is the Golem, a pretty spectacular card. This deck will focus on that card and how to use the Golem effectively. For this deck the following cards are required:

  • Golem
  • Wizard
  • Minion Horde
  • Archers
  • Spear Goblins
  • Goblins
  • Fireball
  • Elixir Collector

This deck is all about the Golem but the key to winning with this deck hinges on the Elixir Collector. The collector will allow you to get elixir faster so you should have one active as much as possible.

This is especially important late game as it will really bump up your elixir collecting and allow you to play more powerful cards. The more powerful cards you gain allow you to make one of the best Clash Royale decks in the game!

Collecting the elixir with this deck is important because this deck is really elixir intensive and requires you to spend a lot of it.

Once you’re comfortable in the game is when you want to unleash your Golem. It may be a powerful card but it is not immortal therefore you’ll need both ranged and melee troops to make sure that your Golem survives your opponents’ onslaught.

This deck is a late-game one so don’t panic if victory isn’t immediately apparent because once that Golem’s out you’re going to be messing those towers up.

Arena 7 - Royal Arena

Arena 7 Decks

Arena 7 – Princely Power

This Arena 7 deck focuses on the Prince and Dark Prince which are really good when used in conjunction which is one of the best Clash Royale decks. For this deck you’ll need the following cards:

  • Prince
  • Dark Prince
  • Mini P.E.K.K.A
  • Minion Horde
  • Barbarians
  • Tesla
  • Rocket
  • Arrows

This deck focuses on two main things, offense, and targeted defense. In this deck, your main offense cards will be the Prince and the Dark Prince.

The Prince is a charge-up card so you’ll have to keep it on the field if you want the most out of it. That means you’ll have to keep it safe and not let it die for a while.

Your Dark Prince on the other hand is useful for taking care of groups of enemies because it attacks in an AOE so it is best to deploy them close to each other but not too close because a Fireball can wreck them.

The other melee cards are important to take the heat and they are best used for defending both your princes and your towers.

The spells and traps will also help you to counter pushes and you can even use the rocket for emergencies or for finishing off towers.

Arena 7 – Double Minion Deck

This deck features one of the most common and effective ways of defeating your opponent in battle. It allows you to overpower their troops and ensure victory for yourself. For this deck you’re going to need the following cards:

  • Giant
  • Minion Horde
  • Minions
  • Miner
  • Night Witch
  • Zap
  • The Log
  • Fireball

This is a very simple deck to play and master. The first thing that you’ll need to know is that your Giant is going to be the tank of the assault so you’re going to want to make sure that you deploy him before anyone else.

The Minions and Minions Horde are going to accompany the Giant and deal an insane amount of damage while the Giant tanks through what the opponent has to throw at you. This creates one of the best Clash Royale decks using minions and giants.

The Miner and Night Witch are going to support your push, making sure that you don’t get overwhelmed by enemy troops.

The spells are important as well because they are going to keep your push going. Zap will help with stronger troops, The Log will be able to take out a bunch of weak troops at the same time, and Fireball is going to be essential if you want to deal immense damage to a particular area or troop.

Arena 8 - Frozen Peak

Arena 8 Decks

Arena 8 – Hog Wild Deck

This Arena 8 deck focuses on using Hog Riders as well as Skeletons and Ice Golem. The recommended cards for this deck are:

  • Hog Rider
  • Ice Golem
  • Skeletons
  • Musketeer
  • Cannon
  • Ice Spirit
  • Fireball
  • The Log

This deck is where higher tier plays start to happen. After Arena 7 you’re going to be a high enough level that you move from a casual player to a more advanced one. You will need one of the best Clash Royale decks.

That is why strategy becomes even more important. For this deck your Hog Rider will be a late entry to the field, meanwhile, all your other creatures will be focused on making sure that your defense is air-tight.

You’ll want to deploy Cannons early as well as Musketeers and Skeletons so that your opponent doesn’t take out the Cannons.

You’ll also want to hang onto your spells until absolutely necessary because this is a pretty high elixir cost deck and you can’t go around needlessly spending elixir.

Arena 8 – Valkyrie, Bats, and Mortar Deck

This deck features some of the lesser-played cards in the game which can make one of the best Clash Royale decks to use. It allows you to surprise the opponent with your cards and give you an advantage for the battle. The cards that you’ll need for this deck are:

  • Valkyrie
  • Bats
  • Mortar
  • Miner
  • Skeletons
  • Musketeer
  • Poison
  • Snowball

When you look at the cards in the deck you can already tell that this deck focuses on delaying your enemies and giving them defeat with a thousand cuts.

The Poison and Snowball cards are essential for making this deck work. The first thing that you’re going to want to do is to place Mortars and Skeletons so that you can have some defensive capabilities.

The Poison and Snowball cards are going to come in handy when you’re trying to stem the tide of the opponent’s creatures.

The Musketeers and the Skeletons will make sure that enemy troops can’t reach your towers whereas the Miner, Valkyrie, and Bats are going to be your main form of offense.

The spells are going to work well with Mortar fire because you can use them to slow enemy troops down and whittle away their health while the Mortar finishes them off.

Arena 9 - Jungle Arena

Arena 9 Decks

Arena 9 – Mortar Madness and Goblin Gang

This Arena 9 deck is especially fun if you’re a fan of chaos. In this one, you get to focus on mortars and goblins, a perfect combination. You’re going to need the following cards for this to work:

  • Mortar
  • Goblin Gang
  • Skeleton Barrel
  • Musketeer
  • Knight
  • Spear Goblins
  • The Log
  • Fireball

With this deck, you’re going to want to play a little defensively. Your Mortars, Skeleton Barrel, and Goblin Gang are mainly going to be used for defensive purposes. You can easily use these three to decimate the opponent’s troops.

Your Spear Goblins and Knight are going to be used to push so that you can get rid of the opponent’s damage spells as well as making sure that no traps catch you off-guard.

Musketeer is going to play an important role in making sure that your Mortars remain safe and your spells should be used sparingly as you’re going to need the elixir in order to stave off any strong assaults on your towers. This is one of the best Clash Royale decks in the market.

Arena 9 – Lava Hound and Balloon Deck

This Arena 9 deck focuses on aerial combat and is one that is incredibly versatile for both offense and defense. For this deck you’re going to need the following cards:

  • Lava Hound
  • Balloon
  • Minions
  • Mega Minion
  • Barbarians
  • Tombstone
  • Zap
  • Fireball

This deck’s primary focus is on aerial combat although it still has some ground troops so that you’re not left completely defenseless against an all-out ground assault.

That is why you’re going to want to keep your Barbarians and Tombstone mostly for defensive purposes. Your aerial troops are going to be your main line of attack. This will include Mega Minions, Balloon, and Lava Hound.

The Minions you can use to bait out spells and traps. The spells are important as well because Fireball and Zap are very versatile so you’re going to want to be careful when using them.

Fireball should be used to reduce a push by your opponent and Zap should be used to strengthen your own push but seeing as how the spells are versatile it’s going to be up to you and the situation itself to decide how and when to use those spells.

Be very careful with Fireball though because it is a high elixir spell so you don’t want to waste it early.

Arena 10 - Hog Mountain

Arena 10 Decks

Arena 10 – Electro Giant Deck

This is one of the most unique Arena 10 decks that you’ll come across. For this one you’re going to need the following cards:

  • Electro Giant
  • Bomb Tower
  • Heal Spirit
  • Goblin Gang
  • Goblin Barrel
  • Skeletons
  • Rocket
  • The Log

This deck is a little tricky to use but it can be really worth it. The first thing that you’ll want to do is to send out Skeletons and Goblin Gang in order to bait out traps, spells, and make sure that they act as the tanks of your assault.

The Electro Giant is a powerful beefy character so it is a key target for spells. Therefore you can easily use it to bait spells but make sure to keep other troops away from it because you might end up losing weaker characters if they are close to it.

You will need to keep the Heal Spirit close to it though because it’ll buy you time until you can send in Goblin Barrel and Rocket to finish off the towers. Another thing that you’ll want to take note of is to establish Bomb Towers early on as they will act as your first line of defense.

You should also take care when using The Log because it is incredibly effective and you don’t want to waste it on very few troops.

Arena 10 – Bomb Tower and Balloon Deck

This is one of the more interesting decks that you’ll come across because it involves bleeding your opponent dry of elixir. The main use for this deck is for defense so you can be sure you won’t be losing with this one. For this deck you’re going to need the following cards:

  • Bomb Tower
  • Balloon
  • Ice Golem
  • Miner
  • Musketeer
  • Skeletons
  • Giant Snowball
  • The Log

The way to start playing with this deck is to let the enemy push to you but slowly. You’re going to want to set up Bomb Towers so that any troops that get in range receive some bombe.

Keep in mind though, the Bomb Tower doesn’t target aerial troops but it will deal damage to them when the Tower dies so it might be okay to let some of them die once in a while.

The Balloons are going to be useful for more aerial bombardment whereas the Ice Golem will make sure to freeze and slow down troops so that they can take even more damage from the Bomb Tower and the Balloon.

The Miner and Musketeer will act as support to make sure that you can still keep the pressure on the opponent and bait out their spells and traps. The Skeletons are going to be excellent for keeping most of your troops safe so use them as cannon fodder and shields.

The Giant Snowball will also help in freezing troops whereas The Log will help you deal with any weak troops that appear in larger numbers.

Arena 11 - Electro Valley

Arena 11 Decks

Arena 11 – Electro Spirit Zapper

This Arena 11 deck mainly focuses on electric damage and is one of the most fun decks you’ll come across. You’re going to need the following cards for this deck:

  • Electro Spirit
  • Princess
  • Goblin Gang
  • Goblin Barrel
  • Knight
  • Tesla
  • The Log
  • Rocket

To use this deck effectively you’re going to have to make sure that you are able to bait out spells early because you’re going to want the Princess on the field. Use the Goblin Gang and Knight to bait out as many spells as you can.

The Electro Spirit will help with your push as well as defense along with Goblin Barrel. Tesla will act as your defense and the spells are going to be used to deal with a big push but the Rocket should be reserved only to decimate the opponent’s towers making it one of the best Clash Royale decks to this day.

Arena 11 – Electro Giant and Prince Deck

This deck’s main cards are the Prince and the Electro Giant. These two cards are essential if you want to pull off a victory with this deck. The cards that you’re going to need for this one are:

  • Electro Giant
  • Prince
  • Mega Minion
  • Fisherman
  • Hunter
  • Heal Spirit
  • Fireball
  • Zap

The Electro Giant and Prince combo is the main one that you’re going to want to focus on with this deck. These two cards complement each other very well because the Electro Giant can stun enemy troops and the Prince’s charge-up attack can deal a lot of damage.

You’re going to want to keep the Heal Spirit close to them because you need to keep them alive if you want this to be successful. The Hunter and Fisherman are also going to be fighting up close because that is where they are the most effective.

The Mega Minion is going to be great for air support and the spells you can pepper in when you need to because they cost a fair bit of elixir and you don’t want to use them until you absolutely need to.

This deck is all about offensive capabilities so you need to push with this deck because if you let the opponent push to your side then it’s going to be tough to defend yourself. This makes it one of the best Clash Royale decks in this guide.

Make sure to keep the push going and don’t be afraid to use the spells so that your push lasts longer and allows you to get deep into your opponent’s territory.

Arena 12 - Spooky Town

Arena 12 Decks

Arena 12 – Miner Giant Deck

This Arena 12 deck is going to focus on how to use Giant and Miners effectively. The cards that you’ll want for this are:

  • Electro Giant
  • Hunter
  • Miner
  • Skeletons
  • Skeleton Dragons
  • Balloon
  • Heal Spirit
  • Giant Snowball

This is a very offense heavy deck which leaves little room for rest which is one of the best Clash Royale decks in the game. In this deck, Giant and Skeletons will act as tanks for the rest of your army. With this deck, you’re going to be deploying both ground and air troops to make sure that you don’t give any quarter.

Keep in mind that your Heal Spirit as well as Giant Snowball will be immensely important for a proper offensive.

This deck is high in elixir cost so make sure to stave off initial attacks until you are able to deploy more powerful troops and take the fight to the opponent’s towers.

Arena 12 – Royal Giant and Electro Spirit Deck

This deck focuses on using the Royal Giant and Electro Spirit together for a really powerful combo. The cards that you’re going to need for this deck are:

  • Royal Giant
  • Electro Spirit
  • Fisherman
  • Barbarian Barrel
  • Electro Wizard
  • Heal Spirit
  • Hunter
  • Fireball

The best part about this deck is the Royal Giant and Electro Spirit combo which you can use to stun-lock pretty much any troops that the opponent has to throw your way.

The Royal Giant can tank through pretty much anything whereas the Electro Spirit will help keep it safe from damage as much as it can.

The Heal Spirit will also be an important accompaniment to the Royal Giant because it will keep healing it, making sure that it stays alive for longer.

The Fisherman and the Hunter are going to be your close-up damage dealers because that is where they are most effective so you’re going to want to let them get as close as they can with as much health as possible.

The Barbarian Barrel you can pepper in when you need to but be careful when using the Fireball because it costs loads of elixir so it shouldn’t be wasted on weaker troops.

Make sure to keep it on hand because you never know what the opponent is going to throw at you.

Arena 13 - Legendary Arena

Arena 13 Decks

Arena 13 currently does not unlock any cards therefore there aren’t any decks that have Arena 13 cards because they don’t exist yet.

Arena 13 unlocks Leagues which allows you to battle it out for triumph and glory. Arena 13 is a great way to hone your skills and try new things when it comes to the game.

Once a new update comes to the Arena system and when cards are added to this Arena you can be sure that you’ll find a good deck for it right here.

That being said, there are a few fun and powerful decks that you can make after reaching this stage so here are a few decks that you can try out and see if they fit your playstyle.

Arena 13 – P.E.K.K.A, Royal Ghost, and Electro Wizard Combo

This is one of the most powerful decks that you could make but be warned, this deck is very hard to pull off for free-to-play players.

You’ll have to get really lucky with your pulls if you’re only taking the free-to-play route but this deck is definitely worth it. Here are all the cards that you’re going to need for one of the best Clash Royale decks:

  • PEKKA
  • Royal Ghost
  • Electro Wizard
  • Magic Archer
  • Bandit
  • Battle Ram
  • Zap
  • Poison

The way you want to play this deck is to focus on offense. You should try to take the fight to the opponent by using your PEKKA and Battle Ram.

These two cards are going to be your pushers whereas the Electro Wizard and Archers are going to ensure that no troops try to stop your push. Your Ghost will be the ace in the hole because it is invisible until it attacks so try to make sure that it doesn’t get pulled until it is well within the range of other stuff.

The Zap and Poison will help to keep your push going as it will hinder enemies. This is a heavy offense deck so keep the push going at all costs.

Arena 13 – Royal Giant and Skeleton Dragon Deck

This deck is really diverse and allows you to deal with a lot of situations really easily. It is a very adaptive deck that you can use for both offense and defense which is one of the best Clash Royale Decks available. The cards that you’re going to need for this one are:

  • Royal Giant
  • Skeleton Dragons
  • Hunter
  • Fisherman
  • Skeletons
  • Heal Spirit
  • Fireball
  • The Log

In this deck, the spells are just as important as the creatures. The Giant you’re going to want to use as your main damage absorption unit. The Skeletons are going to be mainly used to bait out spells and to make sure that your Skeleton Dragons aren’t gone too soon.

The Hunter and Fisherman you’re going to want to deploy at different times because they can keep the pressure on your opponent. They are both effective at close range so make sure that they are able to reach their targets if you want them to be as effective as possible.

The Heal Spirit is a good accompaniment to the Giant as it can give it that much more time on the field. The Log is effective at clearing out weaker troops and the Fireball is the emergency spell that you can use to get out of sticky situations.

best clash royale decks

Arena 13 – Mega Minion, Electro Dragon, and Prince Deck

This is an all-out offensive deck that is sure to have your opponent quaking in their boots which is one of the best Clash Royale Decks available. The cards that you’re going to need for this deck are:

  • Mega Minion
  • Electro Dragon
  • Prince
  • Giant
  • Royal Ghost
  • Skeletons
  • Zap
  • Poison

The main heroes of this deck are the Prince, Electro Dragon, and the Giant. These three troops are key to making this deck work. The Prince is amazing at taking out towers, the Giant is going to be invaluable to tank damage, and the Electro Dragon is integral at stopping enemy troops in their tracks.

The Mega Minion you’re going to want to focus on enemy troops as it can take them out in a heartbeat. The Royal Ghost is best deployed sneakily as it is invisible until it attacks so it can really get up close before it is any danger.

The Skeletons are going to be important for baiting out spells and traps and the Zap and Poison are going to be used to make sure that the enemy troops don’t get a chance to muster their strength.

The Bottom Line
