Fast Mora Farming Guide – Genshin Impact

Fast Mora Farming Guide - Genshin Impact

Mora is one of the main currencies in Genshin Impact and is one of the ones that you’ll constantly find yourself short on.

If you remember our article on upgrading certain characters, which you can find here, you’ll know that Mora is used for just about everything, from upgrading your artifacts, weapons, and talents, to buying new recipes, ingredients, and forging items.

No matter what you do in the game, you’re going to need Mora. We hope you enjoy our guide on “Fast Mora Farming Guide – Genshin Impact”!

Mora is actually named after Morax, one of the 7 Gods in Teyvat and it signifies his ability for negotiating and sticking to contracts.

Liyue is where the god Morax is worshipped and that is why it is called the Land of Contracts. In Liyue Mora is the language that people speak and once you get that far into the game you’ll understand why.

Mora can be tough to get consistently though but there are a few ways to get a bunch of Mora really quickly. Here are some tips for a fast Mora farming guide in Genshin Impact.

Opening Chests

The easiest way to get a bunch of multiple resources is by opening chests. Chests are spread all throughout Teyvat and every chest that you open will give you Mora. It’s not a lot per chest but given that there are so many chests in the game you’ll soon be rich.

There is one caveat though, the chests in Genshin Impact are limited and they only seem to respawn when you advance your adventure level. That is the best working theory but it is still up for debate because Mihoyo hasn’t been exactly forthcoming with addressing questions that the Genshin Impact community has.

Be that as it may, we at least know that the more chests that you open, the less you’re bound to find. That means this way of gathering Mora will only last you a very short time. That is why it is best to open as many chests as you can so that you can stockpile resources before you start to run out of them.

Selling Artifacts - Genshin Impact

Selling Artifacts

This is something that many people don’t know about the game. You can break down artifacts for Mora but not in the artifact equipping screen. To sell artifacts you’re going to need to open the inventory where you can find all the artifacts.

That can be accessed through the gear wheel which is bound to TAB by default. You can also access the inventory by pausing the game and using the inventory option there.

Once you have the inventory open you can scrap artifacts that you don’t need for Mora really easily. Keep in mind though that you’re going to need artifacts if you plan on upgrading the artifacts that are actually good and that you want to keep around.

The best thing about artifacts though is that there are multiple ways to get them. They can drop from chests, enemies, and from domain ruins. It can be easy to accumulate a bunch of them and then turn them into Mora.

Blossoms of Wealth

Blossoms of wealth are going to be your main way of getting Mora in the game after you’ve exhausted all other avenues. Blossoms of wealth are flowers that reward you after you complete a challenge.

The challenge usually comes in the form of enemies that you have to defeat. Once you defeat the enemies you’ll be able to claim the rewards from within.

There are a few things that you should know about the Blossoms of wealth. There are only two Blossoms of wealth in the game. One is in Mondstadt and the other is in Liyue.

They pop up in different places and once you claim rewards from one of them the location will change so you’ll have to go to the next one in order to claim more rewards. You will have to use resin in order to access the rewards.

You can use original resin for the normal rewards or you can use condensed resin to claim double the rewards. The blossoms of wealth also give you Exp so by using them you can kill two birds with one stone and make this a part of both fast Mora farming guide and fast EXP farming guide.

Quests - Genshin Impact

Quests

There are hundreds of quests that can be completed in Genshin Impact. There are many types of quests that can be found in the game from World Quests to Story Quests but one thing that is the same about each and every one of them is that they all reward you with Mora when you complete them.

As soon as you complete a quest you’ll get Mora as well as other rewards so look through your journal to make sure that there aren’t any incomplete quests lying around.

You should know though that there are certain quests that will reveal themselves to you only if you’ve completed the prerequisites for unlocking them. The game won’t tell you where to find certain quests or how to start them but using the new reputation feature you can know how many quests you’ve missed and can thus look up how to start them.

Bounties

The new 1.1 update to Genshin Impact added a lot of new interesting ways to get resources. The best way to farm Mora with the new update is to complete bounties.

Bounties are contracts out on monsters that you can defeat in order to get Mora and increase the reputation that you have in certain areas. You can complete 3 bounties per week and defeating the hardest enemies can get you about 100k Mora from just the bounties.

The bounties can be accessed through the reputations liaisons that can be found in Mondstadt and Liyue. The one in Mondstadt is located right at the East entrance, near the middle teleport point. The one in Liyue can be found in the warehouse near the docks. Just go past the blacksmith and turn left and you’ll be there.

Requests

The 1.1 update also added requests which are accessed the same way that bounties are. They don’t give you that much Mora but they still give you a fair bit so you can depend on them if you’re really strapped for cash.

The requests also have the 3 per week limit but they are much easier to complete as they consist of simple fetch quests. You’ll only have to deliver certain items to certain people and you’ll get rewarded for it.

Expeditions - Genshin Impact

Expeditions

If you are unaware, Genshin Impact allows you to send off characters on expeditions in order to get resources for you, without having to do any heavy lifting yourself. The expedition system can be accessed through Katheryne in either Mondstadt or Liyue.

You can send off characters to look for mining materials such as Iron Ore and White Iron Chunks, Forageables such as Sweet Flower and Eggs, and Hunting Goods such as Raw Meat and Fowl.

Expeditions also allow you to send characters out for Mora which is a very dependable way to get Mora really easily. All you have to do is select the Mora spots, of which there are four, and send characters out every day to collect it for you. If you send 4 characters out for Mora you can earn 20,000 Mora every 20 hours without having to do anything.

Enemies

While playing Genshin Impact you’ll come across a number of creatures that want you dead. That’s good for you because once you defeat them they’ll always drop Mora. One thing to take note of though is that although they do reliably drop Mora they do so in very little amounts.

You could go out to low-level areas and just keep farming enemies for Mora but that would not be using time effectively. Instead, what you should do is go to spots that have higher level enemies and fight them. They drop higher tier rewards which means more Mora with less effort.

Commissions

Everyone is really familiar with the daily commissions that you get in the game and I am sure that all of you are aware that they give Mora as one of the rewards for completing each one.

You should always try to do these every day because the rewards start stacking up. You should also keep in mind that after you’ve done the commissions you can claim additional rewards from Katheryne which just so happens to include more Mora.

Battle Pass

The battle pass is also an excellent way to get Mora because every 3 or so levels you get Mora as a reward. The battle pass has certain challenges that you can complete in order to progress really fast and unlock a bunch of rewards.

The weekly challenges are particularly worth doing because they bump you up a few levels and you can claim free Mora from it. I should clarify that you don’t need to buy the pass to get Mora from it, you can get it even while using the free version. The battle pass is essential for a fast Mora farming guide.

Adventure Levels

Adventure levels are a record of how much time you’ve spent in Genshin and they go up as you do quests, complete challenges, and use resin. When you rank up you’ll get rewards and one of those rewards is Mora. Now, you don’t get Mora as a reward at every level but you can see the rewards for future levels and can find out at which level you’re going to get Mora.

Spiral Abyss

The spiral abyss is one of the end-game activities in the game. It allows you to pit yourself against grueling challenges for rewards and glory. The way the spiral abyss works is that the quicker you complete each floor, the better your rewards will be. Don’t stress about perfecting the spiral abyss from the start because you can do floors of it over again for better times and better rewards.

All you’ll need is a good team and even better game knowledge. You can claim the rewards for the spiral abyss right then and there and if you’re in need of Mora or Primogems, the spiral abyss is a good place to focus on.

Adventure Book Chapters - Genshin Impact

Adventure Book Chapters

Most people forget about the adventure book when they really get into Genshin because at one point it becomes a chore to complete the challenges within.

You should always keep the adventure book in mind because it has some great rewards, and although it might be hard to complete as you progress in the game, it is definitely worth it as it rewards you with just about everything that you need to progress, even Primogems.

Sigils

While opening chests throughout the game you’ll notice that one of the items that the chests drop is the sigils that pertain to each of the regions. These sigils are actually, really useful because you can turn them in for items such as ascension material, weapon components, and Mora.

There are limits to the items that you can get this way, but not for Mora. For a certain amount, you can exchange 1 sigil for 1600 Mora but after that limit is exceeded you’ll have to spend twice for the same amount of Mora.

Paimon’s Bargains

Paimon’s shop is another way to get Mora. You’ll have to spend Stardust to do so but you should be racking up that stuff. With every wish you make, every common wish will reward you with stardust which you can use to get more Mora.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are endless ways to get Mora. If you use one you’re probably not going to have much success but using a combination of most, if not all, for a fast Mora farming guide.
